It’s a family affair at the Arcadian Inn and Aaron’s Gate Country Getaways.  The inn is the dream of Martha’s to have a big house and lots of people.  Today Martha and Gary and their son, Mark are busy with both Arcadian Inn and Aaron's Gate Country Getaways and a busy growing family.        

Their oldest son, Mark is married to Danyell and they have 2 children, Allie 6 years old and 2 1/2  year old Christian.  Mark &Danyell just finished extensive remodeling on their home nearby.  Mark is the General Manager at the Arcadian Inn.  Besides Innkeeping and construction with his father, Mark is busy building a successful web design and web photography business.  

Martha & Gary’s other son,  Stephen, is a Senior at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas  getting a  degree and certification in Harley Davidson Technology.    The whole family will enjoy his expertise as they love to ride motorcycles.  Stephen dreams of building custom sport bikes.       

Gary’s folks, Hurshel & Edith Hall, live nearby.  Hurshel is the chef at the Inn along with Edith making her famous “Vanilla Butter Sauce”.   Hurshel "Retired" from Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City after almost 30 years of being the chef there.  Edith is retired from Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.   They aren’t into motorcycles but enjoy Country Gospel music with their friends.       

Martha's background is nursing.  She went to Nursing school in Azusa, California until she and Gary got together again.  They've known each other since 7th and 9th grade.  Gary has been building homes, renovating/remodeling homes and bed & breakfasts for almost 35 years.  He taught both of his sons the expertise of building. 

Martha serves on the Oklahoma Bed & Breakfast Association Board as well as the Edmond Convention and Visitors Board of Directors.  She has been teaching Innkeeping for over 10 years.   She and Gary love to mentor and encourage new innkeepers. 

Martha & Gary are celebrating 30 years of marriage and want that to be the legacy of both the Arcadian Inn and Aaron's Gate, to provide private intimate time together to encourage and support marriages like theirs. 

Besides are very special housekeeping crew, Magic Keepers, Kralynn Reeve and Toni Murphy, we have a long-time adopted member of the family, Verla Raines.  Verla has been a rich asset to the Arcadian Inn and Aaron's Gate as the Innkeeper.  Many guests have grown attached to Verla as have Gary, Martha, and Mark!  Verla and Martha became friends in High School when they sang together in a group called God's Offspring.  They went on to be college Roommates at Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas and have been close ever since.
